Legendary World Cup race
the Mercedes-Benz UCI mountain bike world cup Maribor

World’s best downhill riders are returning to the legendary World Cup race (the Mercedes-Benz UCI mountain bike world cup Maribor) and we invite you to a special three-day mountain bike adventure.

The package includes a mountain bike workshop, guided tour on the surrounding trails, watching the training and the race, and of course, lots of fun.

Friday, April 26th
PROGRAM
  • 09: 00-09: 30 Meeting of participants at the station of the Pohorje cable car – Maribor
  • 10: 00-13: 00 The first day of the mountain bike event will begin with a workshop of mountain cycling techniques on the trails and paths of the Bike Park Pohorje. Kristjan Vreček (former top downhill competitor) and Tomaž O. Rous (the pianist of the group Siddharta and a member of our guiding team) will be responsible for making the ride better.
  • 13:00-14:00 Lunch stop at Cottage Luka, located next to the start line of Maribor MTB DH World Cup.
  • 14:00-17:00 After the break, Kristjan and Tomaž will take care of those smaller details that will offer you relaxed and fun driving and maximum pleasure in mastering the mountain bike.
  • 17: 00- … Apres Bike Party in the hottest mountain bike bar – Gondola Fun Bar.
Saturday April 27th
PROGRAM
  • 08.30-9: 00 Meeting of participants at the Pohorje cable car – Maribor
  • 09: 00-13: 00 Guided tour from Maribor via Areh to Ruše and back. The road will lead us through a combination of secret routes towards Ruše, where after a short break we take the bus back to Areh, from where we will cycle back to Cottage Luka.
  • 13:00-14:00 BBQ lunch.
  • 14: 00-17: 00 After lunch we return to the open trails of the Bike Park Pohorje and watch at the official training of Maribor MTB DH World Cup.
  • 17:00 – It’s Friday! Apres Bike Party in Gondola Bar is repeating its self.
Sunday April 28th
PROGRAM
  • It is almost an obligation to watch the race, but you can independently go on a bike ride along Bike Park Pohorje. In addition to your ticket for the cable car, you will also have the accreditation for entering the MTB DH World Cup arena.
  •  At the agreed time, a BBQ party in the Cottage Luka near the start line of the World Cup will also be organized on Sunday.
  • After announcing the results, another beer, chatting with friends and sharing experiences will fit. And we will make plans for Maribor MTB DH World Cup 2020.

Drive & Cheer

We will be staying in one of the hotels *** (Arena, Bellevue, Bolfenk, Draš, Betnava or Bau).

Breakfast is included in the night price.

For fun and good atmosphere after the sports day on the bike Gondola Fun Bar and the selected bars in the center of Maribor will take care.

You need to come to the location on your own.

Because we like mountain biking and because we are very happy to be able to transfer cycling techniques and knowledge to you. We want to make sure that our guests are satisfied. Workshop and winding around the surrounding trails will be guided by the instructors Kristjan Vreček (former top downhill competitor) and Tomaž O. Rous (the piano player of the Siddharta group) who will ensure that good vibrations will continue beyond sports

In the price of the MARIBOR MTB DH World Cup – DRIVE&CHEER includes:

  • One-day workshop under the professional guidance of licensed instructors,
  • All-day trail running between Maribor and Ruše,
  • 2 x accommodation with breakfast at the hotel *** (Arena, Bellevue, Bolfenk, Draš, Betnava or Bau),
  • 2 x BBQ lunch in Cottage Luka,
  • 3 x daily cycling ticket for Bike Park Pohorje,
  • Local bus transport (Ruše – Areh),
  • 2 x welcome drink in the Gondola Fun Bar,
  • Accreditation to access the tribune on the day of the race,
  • 20 % discount in the Extreme Vital Maribor store (please, ask for further information*),
  • presentation and testing of CE-BE glasses and helmets (Friday, April 26th),
  • Organization of the event and logistical support,
  •  Welcome package.

The price of the package is based on accommodation in a double room.

In the price of MARIBOR MTB DH World Cup – DRIVE&CHEER does NOT include:

  • health and additional accident insurance,
  • Transportation to the location,
  • Mountain bike and personal bicycle equipment,
  • Everything else, not specifically mentioned as included
